THROGGS NECK, NY – For the second straight time to begin the season, Carson Sadler (Gilford, NH) of the Maritime College men's soccer team has been named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week.  He had both goals in the Privateers' 2-1 victory over Five Towns on Tuesday.

Sadler leveled the score at 1-1 in the 55^th minute, when he headed in a Justin Song (Syosset, NY) free kick.  He then netted the game-winner in the 66^th minute, taking a low cross from Chris Vazquez (Woodhaven, NY) and putting it home to the left post.  It was Sadler's second brace in as many contests, and he's had a hand in five of Maritime's six goals so far this year.

The Privateers (2-0-0) are back in action on Wednesday, when they visit York (0-1-0) at 3 p.m.  It will be Maritime's first road match of the season, and the only one of their first eight games taking place away from Reinhart Field.
