2023 Schedule

THROGGS NECK, NY – Max Watson's first game as head coach of the Maritime College men's soccer program will be against a very familiar foe.  The Privateers take on VMI, Watson's old team, in an exhibition contest on Sept. 2 before opening the regular season a day later at SUNY Delhi.  In total, Maritime will play 16 games in 2023, including nine at Reinhart Field.

The Privateers' home opener is set for Sept. 6 against Medgar Evers.  After traveling for its annual matchup with Mass Maritime on Sept. 9, Maritime wraps up its non-conference slate by hosting York (Sept. 12) and Five Towns (Sept. 15).  Both contests will be part of a doubleheader with the women's team.

Maritime starts Skyline Conference play at Mount St. Mary on Sept. 19 before returning to Reinhart Field for games against St. Joseph's LI (Sept. 23) and Manhattanville (Sept. 27).  The Privateers then end September with a visit to Purchase (Sept. 30).  After welcoming St. Joseph's Brooklyn to Fort Schuyler on Oct. 3, Maritime heads back on the road for a matchup with Old Westbury on Oct. 7.

On Oct. 13, the Privateers begin a busy stretch of three games in five days at home against Yeshiva.  Maritime hosts rival Merchant Marine two days later before concluding the stretch at Farmingdale on Oct. 17.  The Privateers' final home game of the season is scheduled for Oct. 21, when Mount St. Vincent comes to Reinhart Field.  The season finale, meanwhile, is set for Oct. 25 at Sarah Lawrence.

Should Maritime finish in the top six in the final conference standings, the Privateers will make their first Skyline Tournament appearance since winning the title in 2019.  First-round games hosted by the No. 3 and 4 seeds are on Oct. 28, while the top two seeds host the semifinals on Nov. 1.  The Skyline Championship Game will be played on Nov. 4.
