2025 Schedule
THROGGS NECK, NY – The Maritime College cross country team will stay entirely within the New York Metropolitan area in
AJ Batcher's first season as head coach. The Privateers begin the 2025 campaign at the Fred Pavlich Invitational, hosted by Bard College, on Sept. 20, and conclude the year with their annual trip to the Hudson Valley Sports Dome for the ECAC North Championships on Nov. 8.
After traveling to Bard for the season opener, Maritime will race in the Queensborough Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park on Sunday, Sept. 28. It will be the Privateers' first time competing on the famed Bronx course since their last appearance at this meet in 2018. Maritime will then have a week off before returning to action on the weekend of Oct. 11, with the specific event still to be determined. Then Privateers wrap up the regular season on Oct. 18, when they head to Kings Park, NY, for the St. Joseph's LI Invitational.
This season, the Skyline Conference Championships, which will take place on Oct. 26, move to a new location—Purchase College. The last time the conference meet was held on the Purchase campus in 2017, Maritime won the men's title. The men's squad was tabbed to finish third in this year's Skyline Preseason Poll, while the Privateer women were predicted to equal their second-place finish from 2024.
Maritime followed up that performance by taking third on the women's side at the ECAC North Championships last season. This season's ECAC North Championships are set for Nov. 8.
