AJ Batcher was hired as Maritime College’s Head Cross Country Coach prior to the 2025 season. An active-duty member of the United States Marine Corps, she is also the Executive Officer and Marine Officer Instructor of the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Unit at Maritime.
Batcher attended the United States Naval Academy, where she was a member of both the cross country/track & field and marathon teams. The native of North Bellmore, NY won four consecutive cross country district titles at Mepham High School (2008-11) and was a team captain during her senior season. Batcher has continued to run for both fun and fitness, and has also regularly taken part in CrossFit competitions.
She graduated from the Naval Academy with a degree in English and is currently pursuing a master’s in business administration through Penn State University.
