Nicolosi Receives All-America Honorable Mention Nod

USA Lacrosse All-America Teams

THROGGS NECK, NY – Gabrielle Nicolosi
(West Islip, NY) has achieved another first for the Maritime College women's lacrosse program.  She was named Honorable Mention All-American by USA Lacrosse, becoming the first Privateer ever to earn All-America recognition.

The Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-Skyline selection, Nicolosi was one of only two Skyline players selected.  The other was Merchant Marine's Leslie Wysong, who also received an honorable mention nod.

This season, Nicolosi set program records for goals (61), assists (64) and points (125).  She's currently ranked fifth nationally in points and seventh in assists.  Nicolosi had double-digit points six times this season, including a school-record 15 in a win at Ramapo on March 1.  That total is tied for the most in a single-game across all of NCAA women's lacrosse in 2025 and earned her Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) National Offensive Player of the Week honors.  Nicolosi was a Second Team All-Boardwalk Region choice by the IWLCA.

She scored at least one goal in all 61 contests during her career and was a four-time All-Skyline honoree, including three First Team nods.  Nicolosi is the program's all-time leader with 202 goals, 158 assists and 360 points.

Maritime won a Skyline Tournament game and reached the semifinals for the fourth consecutive year this season.  Overall, the Privateers went 10-7 in 2025.
