IWLCA All-Region Teams

THROGGS NECK, NY – Gabrielle Nicolosi
(West Islip, NY) of the Maritime College women's lacrosse team has been named Second Team All-Boardwalk Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).  She becomes the first Privateer to earn IWLCA All-Region honors since Katherine Buser was a Second Team selection in 2021.

This season's Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-Skyline performer, Nicolosi set single-season school records for goals (61), assists (64) and points (125) in 2025.  She led the league in assists per game (3.76) and points per game (7.35), and is among the national leaders in both points (fifth) and assists (seventh).  On March 1 at Ramapo, Nicolosi had a program-record 15 points, which is tied for the single-game high across all NCAA women's lacrosse this season.  She was chosen as the IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week for that effort.

Nicolosi scored at least one goal in all 17 contests and finished with double-digit points six times, in addition to a pair of nine-point games.  She had four consecutive 10-point outings from April 18-28, recording five or more goals in each of those contests.  Nicolosi posted 11 hat tricks this season and posted multiple points in every game except for the Skyline semifinal loss to Farmingdale.

Maritime's Female Athlete of the Year, she received two Skyline Offensive Player of the Week nods this season.  Nicolosi ends her career as the program's all-time leader in goals (202), assists (158) and points (360).  She was named to the All-Skyline Team all four years, including three First Team selections.

The Privateers went 10-7 overall and 6-2 in Skyline play this season.  Maritime beat Manhattanville in the first round of the Skyline Tournament to reach the semifinals for the fourth straight year.
