Maritime’s 40-Game Schedule For 2025 Revealed

2025 Schedule

THROGGS NECK, NY –
The Maritime College baseball team will begin its 2025 campaign at Montclair State on Feb. 18.  That contest, a single, nine-inning affair, is the first of 40 games on the Privateers' schedule.  Maritime will play 18 games at Reinhart Baseball Field, as well as 15 road contests and seven neutral-site matchups.

After the season opener with Montclair State, the Privateers head to Johns Hopkins for the Baltimore Invitational on Feb. 22-23.  Maritime faces St. John Fisher twice before taking on the host Blue Jays to conclude the event.  The Privateers then begin their home schedule with a doubleheader against New Paltz on March 1.  That twinbill marks the start of an eight-game homestand for Maritime, which also welcomes CCNY (March 2), Union (March 9) and Baruch (March 15) to Reinhart Baseball Field for doubleheaders.

Maritime's annual trip to the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational is set for March 19-22.  The Privateers will play five games in the Sunshine State, starting with a matchup against Wisconsin-La Crosse on March 19.  After facing Ripon the following day, Maritime faces Lawrence in a doubleheader on March 21 before taking on Rutgers-Camden to conclude the trip on March 22.

Upon returning North, the Privateers open Skyline Conference play with a visit to Old Westbury on March 30.  Maritime travels to Eastern Connecticut State on April 1, then returns home for a Skyline twinbill with Manhattanville on April 5.  Last season, the Privateers and Valiants met in the single-elimination first-round of the Skyline Tournament, and sixth-seeded Manhattanville earned a 3-2 upset win over third-seeded Maritime at Reinhart Baseball Field.

On April 6, the Privateers are back on the road for a doubleheader with Purchase.  After hosting Mount St. Vincent on April 13, Maritime begins a four-game road trip at FDU-Florham on April 15.  The Privateers head to St. Joseph's Brooklyn for a Skyline twinbill on April 19 before wrapping up non-conference play at Ramapo on April 22.

Each of Maritime's final 10 games are Skyline Conference affairs, starting with three straight doubleheaders from April 25-27.  The Privateers host Yeshiva (April 25) and Farmingdale (April 26) on back-to-back days before visiting three-time defending Skyline champion St. Joseph's LI on April 27.  Maritime returns home for its Senior Day twinbill against Mount St. Mary on May 3, then wraps up the regular season at Merchant Marine a day later.

This season's Skyline Tournament once again features six teams and begins with single-elimination games on May 7.  The top two seeds receive a bye into the double-elimination round, which is set for May 9-11 at the home field of the highest seed.  The Privateers are looking for their 13th straight Skyline Tournament appearance (not counting the cancelled 2020 event).
