THROGGS NECK, NY – First-year Head Coach Steve Potsklan has announced the Maritime College swimming & diving team's schedule for the 2023-24 campaign.  The Privateers will have three home meets at the Riesenberg Aquatics Center, starting with a season-opening matchup against Purchase on Nov. 17.  Overall, the Maritime women will take part in 11 meets, while the men's squad is slated for nine competitions.

One day after the season-opening dual meet, both teams head to Kings Point for the annual USMMA Memorial Invitational.  The Privateers will then travel to a pair of women's-only events at John Jay (Dec. 1) and St. Joseph's LI (Dec. 2).  Both squads reunite on Dec. 5, when Maritime hosts a dual meet against William Paterson.  The Privateers visit Lehman on Dec. 8 before concluding 2023 with a return trip to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy the following day.  In addition to the host Mariners, Maritime will face Sarah Lawrence and Hunter in the four-team meet.

Maritime also begins the 2024 portion of its schedule at Merchant Marine.  The Privateers take on the Mariners, as well as Mount St. Mary, in a tri-match on Jan. 17 for their final competition before the Skyline Conference Championships.  This season's Skyline Championships will once again be hosted by Purchase on Jan. 27-28.

In a change from years past, the Privateers have another dual meet scheduled between their two championship events.  Maritime will welcome Western Connecticut to the Riesenberg Aquatics Center on Jan. 31 before ending the season at the Metropolitan Championships, which will take place at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ, from Feb. 16-18.
