Maritime Rowing Erg-a-Thon Fundraising Event TOMORROW!

On Wednesday, March 30 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. members of the Maritime College rowing teams will row for 12 consecutive hours to fundraise for six new ergs. They set an impressive goal for themselves at 130,000m rowed and hope to fundraise a total of $6,000 for the new equipment. They have already raised 33 percent of their goal and hope to reach that goal by the end of the event! Please click here to make a donation.

This season, the Maritime Crew team consists of nearly 30 rowers and is led by Head Coach Clemens Reinke and Assistant Coach La'Quey Smith '16. As the student athletes prepare for competition, off-water practices are held on six indoor rowing machines (ergs) in McMurray Hall. While the team is excited to row out their new boathouse, team practices would greatly benefit from additional rowing machines to support more student athletes and to run practices more effectively.

If you wish to watch the Erg-a-Thon from home, the event will be live streamed on the college's Facebook page and you can watch it HERE.
