Maritime Sailing Competes for Intrepid Trophy at Navy

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – Members of the Maritime Dinghy Sailing Team took part in the Intrepid Trophy hosted by the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

Aboard Colgate 26s, the Privateers came in fifth place of seven teams at the event. Sophomore Kyle Comerford (Annapolis, Md/Annapolis) served as skipper with junior Andreas Adam (Annapolis, Md./Severna Park), and sophomores John Lawless (Rochester, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit) and Skye Miller (Congers, N.Y./Clarkstown North) serving as crew. No race scores were available from the promotional regatta.

Earning the top spot was host Navy, followed by Georgetown, Fordham, Hobart/William Smith, and Maritime. Old Dominion and St. Mary's (Md.) rounded out the field.
