Dave Sparozic (Carmel, N.Y./Mahopac) (Carmel, N.Y./Mahopac). The Privateers held the lead until late in the first half, thanks in large part to stellar goaltending by senior
Patrick Kelleher (Floral Park, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) (Floral Park, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy), who recorded three saves in the opening stanza. It was Mbamelu that knotted up the score at 1-1 on a shot from the left side of the box that got past Kelleher.

The Privateers responded in the second half, though, when Wood scored the first of his two goals on a header off a cross on the near side by Donnelly in the 59th minute. Wood would also start a two-minute sequence of back-to-back goals by Maritime, as he finished off a great pass up the right side by junior
Nick Mast (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip) (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip). The fourth goal came shortly after, when McFadzen rifled a shot into the top part of the net after a direct kick into the box by Mast. The Beavers would add another goal late on a rifle of a shot by Ames from about 30 yards out in the 84th minute, but it would prove to be too late for a comeback.
