2025 Schedule
THROGGS NECK, NY – The Maritime College volleyball team will play eight of its first nine matches at home in 2025. Overall, the Privateers have 13 contests at Riesenberg Gymnasium, their most since 2018, on the 23-match slate. Maritime's six-match homestand from Sept. 4-23 is the longest in program history.
For the second straight season, the Privateers begin the campaign with a home tri-match. Mass Maritime and Mitchell will both visit Fort Schuyler on Aug. 30. It will be Maritime's first matchup against Mass Maritime since 2019, and the Privateers' first time hosting the Buccaneers since 2018. Mitchell, meanwhile, is one of the opponents in the season-opening tri-match for the second straight year.
After traveling to Brooklyn on Sept. 2, Maritime begins the six-match the homestand against Baruch on Sept. 4. The Privateers will also face FDU-Florham (Sept. 9), CCNY (Sept. 11), NJCU (Sept. 16), John Jay (Sept. 18) and Lehman (Sept. 23) during the string. Maritime visits York on Sept. 25, then starts Skyline Conference play at Sarah Lawrence on Sept. 30.
On Oct. 4, the Privateers wrap up their non-conference schedule with another tri-match at Albertus Magnus. Maritime will also face Medgar Evers that day. The Privateers' final 10 contests are all Skyline matchups, starting with a showdown against Merchant Marine at Riesenberg Gymnasium on Oct. 7.
Maritime hosts Purchase on Oct. 9 before back-to-back road meetings with St. Joseph's LI (Oct. 14) and defending Skyline champion Manhattanville (Oct. 18). After playing their next two at home against St. Joseph's Brooklyn (Oct. 23) and Old Westbury (Oct. 25), the Privateers make the short trip to Mount St. Vincent on Oct. 28. Two days later, Maritime wraps up its home slate against Farmingdale. The Privateers' final two contests are both on the road—against Yeshiva (Nov. 2) and Mount St. Mary (Nov. 5).
This season's Skyline Tournament features the top six teams from the final standings, with the higher-seeded team hosting each match. The first round is scheduled for Nov. 11, followed by the semifinals on Nov. 13 and the championship match on Nov. 15. Maritime is looking to make its first Skyline Tournament appearance since 2017.
