2022 Men's Lacrosse Schedule

THROGGS NECK, NY – The two-time defending Skyline Conference champion Maritime College men's lacrosse team has announced its 2022 schedule.  The Privateers open the season against New Paltz at Reinhart Field on Feb. 23, the first of five straight home contests to begin the 17-game slate.

After taking on New Paltz, Maritime will round out the homestand with matchups against Oneonta (Feb. 26), Salve Regina (March 5), Wesleyan (March 9) and SUNY Geneseo (March 13).  The Privateers then start a five-game road trip at Coast Guard on March 16 before visiting Stockton on March 19.  Maritime will conclude March with games at Kean (March 23) and FDU-Florham (March 30), then wraps up non-conference play at Trinity on April 2.

"This is the toughest non-conference schedule we've ever played, including nationally-ranked opponents and a recent National Champion in Wesleyan," Head Coach Justin Manjares said.  "It should prepare us well for the Skyline season and, hopefully, our third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament."

Maritime, which has won its last 16 games against Skyline foes dating back to 2019, hosts Mount St. Vincent in the conference opener on April 6.  After visits to Merchant Marine (April 9) and Manhattanville (April 12), the Privateers return to Reinhart Field on April 16 for their first matchup with St. Joseph's LI since last season's Skyline semifinals, an 8-7 Maritime victory.

On April 20, the Privateers travel to Farmingdale for a rematch of last season's Skyline Championship Game, which Maritime won 13-12. The final road game of the 2022 campaign is scheduled for April 23 at Purchase, and Maritime ends the regular season by hosting Mount St. Mary on April 30.

Four teams will qualify for the Skyline Conference Tournament, which begins with the semifinals on May 4.  The Skyline Championship Game is set for May 7.  All games will be hosted by the higher seed.
