The Maritime College baseball team released their 2021 schedule on Tuesday morning, featuring seven different opponents and a total of 28 games with a "home and home" doubleheader against each opponent. The Privateers will travel to Mount Saint Mary in the season opening doubleheader on March 13 before returning home for the first game on the brand new turf field on March 14. The opening weekend against Mount Saint Mary will not count towards the conference record for either team.

The Privateers conference schedule will begin on March 19, when they travel to Yeshiva. Rounding out the 2021 schedule for Maritime is matchups against Mount Saint Vincent, Manhattanville, Purchase, St. Joseph's Brooklyn, and St. Joseph's Long Island. The 28-game slate follows a difficult end to the 2020 season where they only competed in seven games before the year was canceled due to COVID-19. 

"I can't tell you how thrilled we are to get back out on the field after having last season end abruptly due to the COVID-19 virus," said head coach Charlie Barbieri. "For our freshmen, it will mean the opportunity to compete in the Spring for the first time in almost 2 years. For our seniors, it will mean being able to go out on their own terms. To make it even sweeter, the boys will have the ability to practice and play everyday on a newly renovated Reinhart Field! Needless to say, there is a ton of excitement surrounding our team right now and we can't wait for opening day against Mount St. Mary."
