THROGGS NECK, NY – The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the 2026 All-ECAC Team, and two members of the Maritime College baseball team were selected. Freshman second baseman
Dylan Payano (Flushing, NY) added an All-ECAC nod to his list of postseason accolades, while senior first baseman
Alex Bardi (Wantagh, NY) earned All-ECAC honors for the second time in his career.
Payano, the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, previously received First Team All-Region honors from both the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com. He tied for the league lead with 48 runs scored while hitting .415, the second-highest single-season batting average in school history. Payano also ranked fourth in the conference with 56 hits and finished in a fourth-place tie with 46 RBIs. He connected for five home runs this season and went 15-for-16 in stolen base attempts. Defensively, Payano committed just two errors in 123 chances.
Bardi, a Second Team All-Skyline choice, was second in the league with 12 home runs and 59 RBIs. He ended his career ranked second on the Privateers' all-time list in both categories (27 home runs, 127 RBIs). Bardi tied a school record with three home runs in Game 1 of a doubleheader sweep against Purchase on May 2, and his seven RBIs in a win over John Jay on March 19 equaled the single-game program mark. Also a 2024 honoree, he becomes Maritime's first-ever two-time All-ECAC selection.
An 86-year-old organization made up of nearly 200 members across all three NCAA Divisions, the ECAC chooses an All-ECAC Team in every sport that it sponsors. At least one Privateer has made the All-ECAC Team each year since 2023, with multiple Maritime players recognized three times during that span (2023, 2024, 2026).
