GENESEO, NY – On Saturday, the Maritime College cross country team concluded its season by participating in the NCAA Niagara Regional Championships at the National Warplane Museum. The Privateers were represented at the meet by
Rachel Zareva (Allen, TX),
Rebecca Zareva (Allen, TX),
Jack Lehnhardt (Dunkirk, MD) and
Colby James Elwell (Charlestown, RI).
Both Zareva sisters ran personal-best times and moved up on the Maritime all-time list. Rachel was 61
st overall with a 25:34.8 clocking. Rebecca, meanwhile, completed the 6000-meter course in 25:44.6 to place 66
th.
Lehnhardt finished 48
th in the men's 8000-meter race. He posted a time of 26:47.3. Elwell placed 78
th overall in his first NCAA Regional meet. His time was 27:44.8.
