The Maritime College women's cross country team picked up their second Rookie of the Week honor of the season as Rachel Zareva (Allen, TX/Allen ISD High School) earned the honor on Tuesday, September 24 as announced by the Skyline Conference.

Zareva had a stellar performance at the Fred Pavlich Invitational this past weekend. The Allen, TX native was the top finisher for the Privateers in 32nd place with a time of 26:39.4 in the 6k race. Zareva helped lead Maritime to an 11th place finish, which was good to enough to beat fellow Skyline opponents Mount Saint Mary, Purchase, and Mount Saint Vincent.
