Nicholas Ovanessian (Bayside, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) who added eight points, and Griffin McNally (Huntington Station, N.Y./Walt Whitman) who added seven points led the bench. Ovanessian was also stellar in the post as he had a team-high nine rebounds.

In the second half it was the same back and forth game that preceded in the first half. Down nine with 10 minutes left in regulation Maritime put together a game-winning 25-12 run to leave Mount St. Vincent with the road win. The late game surge also included a 10-3 run in the final four minutes. Whelan led the way for the Privateers as he dropped nine points in the run.

The Privateers victory came about due to two key advantages. Maritime was  able to capitalize on the Dolphins missed opportunities as they controlled a 21-16 advantage on points off turnovers. Maritime also controlled the game in the post as they held a 24-20 advantage.
