THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – On Wednesday a series of schedule changes were announced for three of Maritime's spring teams.
Latest Update - March 3, 2017 - 10:00 p.m.
Due to low temps which will feel even colder with the wind chill factor, the Maritime Men's Lacrosse game that was scheduled to be played on Saturday afternoon will now be played on Sunday afternoon on March 5. The Privateers will still host the Salve Regina Seahawks on the campus of Purchase College for a 2 p.m. start as part of Maritime's home opener this weekend.

Men's Lacrosse
First, the Maritime men's lacrosse game on Wednesday, March 1 against Drew has been moved to Thursday, March 2 due to the projected thundershowers in the New York Metropolitan area later this evening. The game will still be on the road against Drew in Madison, N.J. and will be beginning at 7 p.m.
In addition the men's lacrosse game on Saturday against Salve Regina at 1 p.m. has now been moved away from Reinhart Field and will be played at Purchase College in Purchase, N.Y. Maritime will still serve as the home team against the Seahawks in what is still considered the team's home opener.
Dinghy Sailing
The Maritime dinghy sailing team was scheduled to open their spring 2017 season this weekend, but due to a dredging project in Maryland that has not yet been completed; the Tom Noble Team Race has been cancelled.
With the cancellation of the Tom Noble Team Race, Maritime's new spring 2017 opener will be next weekend on March 11-12. The team was upgraded from its alternate status and will be taking part in the John Jackson Team Race, which will be hosted by Georgetown in Washington, D.C. beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 11.
Baseball
The final change of the weekend will be the addition of a doubleheader to the Maritime baseball schedule. The Privateers will open their 2017 slate with Southern Vermont for an 11 a.m. start in a non-conference doubleheader. The game will be played on the Reinhart Baseball Field with the Privateers as the home team.
