THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The Maritime women's swimming team finished off Skyline Conference competition on Monday evening with a one-sided victory over the Mount St. Vincent Dolphins by the score of 109-35 from the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium.
The Privateers won 10 of the 11 contested events on the evening including wins in both the medley and freestyle relays. The night signified the final home meets in the career for seniors

Sarah Soulagnet (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Homeschooled) teamed up with sophomores
Emily Zink (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport),
Katia Aaron (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence) and freshman
Katherine Green (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) opened the night with a win in the medley relay with a time of 2:06.89. The second entry featured Leahy with junior
Jessica Yee (Freehold, N.J./Freehold), and freshmen
Maura Neely (Towson, Md./Maryvale Prep) and
Gabrielle Thompson (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams).
Soulagnet and O'Brien swam uncontested in the 1,000 freestyle as Soulagnet recorded a 13:19.70, while O'Brien scored a time of 14:18.74. Aaron won the 200 freestyle with a 2:13.97, sophomore
Erica Davis (Oakdale, N.Y./Connetquot) was second while Thompson was third. Soulagnet scored her second win of the night with a 27.38; freshman
Bethany Champlin (Bronx, N.Y./Saint Vincent) was second, while junior
Gabrielle Kempski (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) was third for the Privateers.
Green was up next and posted back-to-back wins in the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly. Zink was second in the medley, while Davis was second to the wall for the Privateers in the fly. In the 100 freestyle, Zink notched a time of 1:02.84, followed by Thompson and sophomore
Megan Alicea (Copake, N.Y./Taconic Hills).
In the 100 backstroke, Leahy recorded a career-best time with a 1:13.48, followed by Yee and Champlin. The 500 freestyle saw Aaron score a time of 6:03.62, followed by junior
Abigail Granit (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Township) with a time of 7:57.96. In the 100 backstroke, Neely led the Privateers with a time of 1:35.34, followed by O'Brien with a 1:39.37; Kempski posted a career-best time in the breaststroke of 1:55.93.
The final event of the night featured two entries for the Privateers in the 200 yard freestyle relay. O'Brien, Yee, Davis and Leahy posted a 2:04.61, followed by the quartet of Alicea, Granit, Neely and Champlin with a 2:19.92.
Having already set the single-season wins mark, Maritime will enter the Skyline Conference Championships with a 7-6 overall record with a 5-4 mark in league meets. The Skyline Championships will open on Friday night at 6 p.m. at Purchase College.
