NCAA Atlantic Regional ResultsCASTILE, N.Y. – The Maritime Cross Country team put the finishing touches on its 2015 campaign as the men's and women's programs ended their season at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals hosted by Geneseo at Letchworth State Park.

The Maritime men's team raced to a 32nd place finish amongst the participating teams, while the women's team sent its top finisher from the Skyline Championships and did not record a team score.

Senior
Cameron Coneys (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) paced the Privateers as he recorded a time 28:36.5 during the 8K race. Sophomore
Nick Sherman (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) was not far off of the Maritime pace as he recorded a time of 28:45.0 for a split time of 5:47 per mile.

Rookie
Garrett Ernst (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) broke into the Maritime top five as he ran a 29:47.9, followed by classmate
Christian Berglin (Hampton Bays, N.Y./Hampton Bays) with a 30:24.8. Freshman
Tom Mongeau (Middletown, N.J./Mater Dei) wrapped up the scoring positions for the Privateers with a 30:24.8.
Junior
Kevin Sun (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) came across the finish line with a 30:57.8, followed by freshman
Vincent Cotrone (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) recording a time of 31:45.7.

As a team, Maritime was 32nd on the final leaderboard, which featured 41 complete teams including some of the top teams throughout the region. Host Geneseo was atop the leaderboard, followed by St. Lawrence, Hamilton, Ithaca and New York University in the top five.

Amongst Skyline Conference teams, Maritime was second as St. Joseph's (LI) registered a 30th place finish. Sage was the third complete team to finish in 40th position. Purchase and Mount St. Vincent did not record team scores.

Freshman
Emily Zink (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) ran her first NCAA Atlantic Qualifier for the Maritime Women's Cross Country team and finished the race with a 27:32.7 to cap off her first season with the team.
Maritime will look forward to the upcoming 2016 seasons, as the men's team will vie for its second consecutive team championship. The Maritime women's team will look to improve on its ninth place standing in the Skyline Conference Championships in the upcoming season.
