MILTON, N.Y. – On Saturday, senior
Cameron Coneys (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) of the Men's Cross Country team picked up his sixth career individual victory to help the team to a third place finish at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome.

Coneys cruised to a time of 29:02 to clinch his sixth career individual victory, and his first since the 2012 Skyline Conference Championship win as a freshman.

In addition to the third place finish by the men's team, the women's cross-country quintet finished 15th in a field of 19 complete teams, and 23 overall teams.

With Coneys coming in first place, he picked up one point for the Privateers. Next on the board with 20 points for Maritime was junior
Kevin Sun (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset), coming across with a time of 31:08. Freshman
Christian Berglin (Hampton Bays, N.Y./Hampton Bays) came across with a time of 31:25, while classmates
Tom Mongeau (Middletown, N.J./Mater Dei) and
Garrett Ernst (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) paced one another to finish with times of 31:44 and 31:45 respectively.

Sophomore
Timmy Montera (Bellmore, N.Y./Bellmore JFK) was next across the line at 32:07, with rookie
Vincent Cotrone (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) following with a time of 32:28. Freshmen
Kurt Schieferstein (Lattingtown, N.Y./Chaminade) (36:12),
Tanner Russo (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) (37:17),
Matt Papania (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) (37:26), and junior
Nick Musto (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot) (41:51) all got additional experience on the course, which will be hosting the Skyline Conference Championships later this month.

With a combined point total of 387, the Maritime Women's Cross Country team put up a valiant effort against some of the top teams in the area, and within the Skyline Conference.

Junior
Chelsea Mesa (Bayside, N.Y./Francis Lewis) led the charge for the Privateers as she came across with a time of 22:54 on the 5K course. Rookie
Emily Zink (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) continued to impress during her first season as she wrapped up the event with a 23:58 time.

Third across the finish line for the Privateers was freshman
Jean Colgan (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) (27:08). Fellow freshmen
Ekaterina Aaron () (28:34) and
Riley Huang (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood) (31:20) wrapped up the scoring positions for the Privateers.
Maritime will return to action a week from Sunday, when the team travels to nearby Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx to take part in the City College of New York Classic at 10:45 a.m.
