All-Time Series
Maritime and Castleton have met on six occasions in their history, with Maritime earning the victories in four of those matchups.

Last season in Vermont, Maritime fell to the Spartans by the score of 30-24. In the game, Maritime got touchdown runs from Kyle Gardner (Amityville N.Y./St. Anthony’s) and Zack Chilcott (Ulster Park, N.Y./Kingston), while Chilcott also connected on a four-yard pass to Vincent Jones (Cudjoe Key, Fla./Key West). Diogo Dietrich (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/DePaul Catholic (N.J.)) added a 31-yard field goal, while converting on all three of his extra point chances.

The defense was led by Nick Coffiey (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy) with 11 tackles, while Hugh O'Brien (Westbury, N.Y./Westbury) added nine. Of the current roster, Nick Conte (Franklin Square, N.Y./Carey) and Kameron Knight (Clayton, N.C./West Johnson) both contributed with eight tackles. Patrick Connick (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort) and Eric Wallace (West Point, N.Y./James O'Neill) both had six stops in the game.

Matthew Murphy (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford) had five kickoffs for 282 yards for a 56-yard average, while John Arny (Metuchen, N.J./Metuchen) averaged 31.2 yards per punt on his four kicks during the contest. On returns Chris Klass (Nanuet, N.Y./Nanuet) had four kickoff returns for 70 yards, including a 24-yard return.

Coach to Cure MD
Every season the American Football Coaches Associate (AFCA) teams up with the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy to create the partnership of Coach to Cure MD.

The Maritime Coaching Staff will wear armbands/patches with the Coach to Cure MD seal on them to raise awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

To donate to the cause, fans are encouraged to visit the Coach to Cure MD Website, or can also text the word "CURE" to 90999 for a one-time $5.00 donation. Standard messaging rates apply.

Youth Day
Prior to the Privateers taking on the Spartans, the Bronx Warrior Pee Wee Football organization will take to Reinhart Field beginning at 9 a.m. in conjunction with the team's "Youth Day."

Snap the Streak
Maritime will look to put an end to Castleton's two-game winning streak, as the Spartans come in off of a pair of ECFC wins over Mount Ida and Gallaudet. The Spartans are just 1-2 on the road this year, with their losses coming against Salve Regina and Husson.

Think Pink
In addition to the Maritime coaching staff wearing their Coach to Cure MD patches, the players of the Maritime Football team will wear pink arm bands and other pink paraphernalia such as shoelaces to raise awareness for breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Around the League: Halfway Home
This is the fourth weekend of ECFC Action, which means it is the mid-point of the ECFC schedule. In addition to Maritime and Castleton hooking up in New York, three other matchups will take place and could shake up the standings in the league.
Husson at Gallaudet, 1:00 p.m.
Anna Maria at Norwich, 1:30 p.m.
Mount Ida at Becker, 2:00 p.m.

Millennium Mark on Horizon
Entering play this weekend, Chilcott has 983 career rushing yards, as he sits in sixth position on the all-time rushing list. He is just eight yards shy of reaching fifth position, and 17 yards shy of becoming the fifth player in program history to reach the 1,000-yard mark for his career.

Home Cooking
Thus far on the season, Maritime hast two wins in its first two home games of the season. The team started the year off with a win over the Maine Maritime Mariners and followed that up with a homecoming win against the Anna Maria AMCATs in early October.
