INSIDE THE SERIES This will be only the second meeting between the two schools, as KP just started their women's lacrosse program last season. In the first Sound Shootout, the Privateers defeated the Mariners, 23-8, on March 14, 2013, at Reinhart Field.
In that game, then-freshman
Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) had six goals and an assist and three players scored four times each for Maritime, while four others also found the back of the net. In goal, then-freshman
Meghin Paczkowski (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) made nine saves for her first collegiate victory.
SCOUTING THE MARINERS Kings Point enters Monday's action with a 1-7 overall record and is 0-4 in Landmark Conference play under second-year head coach Kyle Simensky. After winning their second game of the season over Bryn Athyn, the Mariners have dropped six straight dating back to March 19.
Senior Alexandra Winfree is the team leader in points with 14, all goals. Sophomore goalies Rachel Smith and Kelly Allison have both played in four games apiece, with Smith going 1-3 with a 12.50 goals against average and a 43.8 save percentage, while Allison is 0-4 with a 16.50 GAA and 30.5 save%.
