        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (April 1, 2014) – On Tuesday night, the Maritime women's lacrosse team will end a brief two-game road swing with a Skyline Conference showdown up at Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y. Opening draw is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Knights' Kaplan Field.

INSIDE THE SERIES
        The two teams have met four times before and the Privateers have yet to defeat the Mount. Last year, the squads met on March 27, 2013, at Reinhart Field and the Knights came out with a 19-4 victory. Then-freshman Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) finished the day with all four goals for Maritime, while then-junior Theresa D'Amore (Blooming Grove, N.Y./Washingtonville) and then-sophomore Charlotte Acklin (Lewes, Del./West Broward (Fla.)) both had three groundballs apiece. Then-freshman Meghin Paczkowski (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) had six saves between the pipes.
 
SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
        Mount St. Mary enters Tuesday's action with a 3-3 overall record, including a 2-0 mark in Skyline Conference play, under second-year head coach Julia Steese. The Knights lost their first three games of the year, but have rebounded to take three straight over Manhattanville, Old Westbury and Mount St. Vincent.
 
        Leading Mount St. Mary is freshman Katie Gattoni, who has recorded 18 points on 16 goals and two assists. Not far behind is junior Danielle Krupka with 16 points (11G, 5A). Senior Molly Bauer leads the squad with 18 groundballs, while sophomore Claire Duffy and senior Nicole Palmieri are tied for the team-lead with 15 draw controls. Sophomore Katie McGinnis has caused nine turnovers to lead the Mount.
