THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Feb. 14, 2014) – The Maritime men's basketball team will welcome in Skyline Conference rival Old Westbury on Saturday afternoon for the penultimate home game of the season. Action is set to get underway at 1 p.m. at the Riesenberg Hall Gym.
Inside The Series…
Saturday's meeting will be the 34th all time between the Privateers and the Panthers in a series that dates back to the 1975-76 season. Old Westbury holds a 24-9 advantage in the series. The Panthers won the first meeting this season, 66-49, back on Jan. 9 on Long Island.

T'Vaughn Gibson (Freeport, Bahamas/Sunland Baptist Academy) led Maritime with 13 points off the bench, while freshman
Liam Ryan (Buffalo, N.Y./Nichols) and junior
Sean Corley (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall Academy) both scored eight points apiece. Corley also brought down a team-high 12 rebounds and dished out seven assists.
Four players scored in double-figures for Old Westbury, led by junior Floyd Leroy, who drained a game-high 15 points with bringing down 11 rebounds. Junior Ray Parker scored 13 points, junior Omari Trebuse had 11 points and freshman Mark Gjonlekaj tallied 10. Senior Andrew Andries led all players with 14 rebounds.
