THROGGS NECK, NY – Sophomore forward Jake Devaney (Washingtonville, NY) of the Maritime College men's basketball team has been selected to the D3hoops.com All-Region Second Team for the second straight season.  He becomes the first Privateer to earn back-to-back All-Region nods since Patrick MacDonald in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

"We're extremely proud of Jake and all the work he's put in to earn Second Team All-Region honors from D3hoops.com for the second consecutive year," Head Coach Dmarco Barnes said.  "It's well-deserved recognition for the type of player and leader he's been for our program."

The 2024-25 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, Devaney received his second straight First Team All-Skyline selection after finishing fourth in the league with 18.1 points per game this season.  He also ranked third in the conference with 39 blocks and secured a team-best 7.6 rebounds per contest.  Devaney scored 20 or more points 11 times and notched four double-doubles in 2025-26 while leading Maritime to a 13-13 overall record, including a 9-7 mark in Skyline play.

D3hoops.com has named an All-Region Team in each of 10 different regions for 25 years.  The Privateers are in Region 3, which includes all schools located in the State of New York.  As an All-Region honoree, Devaney is now eligible for the D3hoops.com All-America Team.
