THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Sept. 6, 2013) – The Maritime men's soccer team travels to Staten Island Friday for an early evening, non-conference tilt against CSI. Opening whistle is set for 5 p.m. at the Dolphins' Field on the campus of the College of Staten Island. The Privateers will then return home on Saturday for a home game against City College of New York at 1 p.m. at Reinhart Field.

Inside The Series With CSI
Friday's contest will be the seventh meeting between the two teams since the 2006 season. In that time, the series is tied at 3-3. The teams last met on Sept. 5, 2012, when the Privateers hosted the Dolphins at Reinhart Field. CSI escaped with a narrow 1-0 victory. Prior to that meeting, Maritime had won the past two games against Staten Island, 2-1 on the road in 2011, and 3-0 at home during the 2010 season.
Inside The Series With CCNY
The Privateers have played City College each of the past nine seasons dating back to 2004 and hold a 5-3-1 record over the Beavers in that time. The teams last met on Sept. 8, 2012, at Reinhart Field in what was technically a home game for CCNY. Maritime came out with a 2-1 victory. In the past four meetings, the Privateers are 3-0-1, as the teams played to a 1-1 draw during the 2011 season.
