THROGGS NECK, NY – Jeferson Blanco (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) of the Maritime College men's soccer team has been named Second Team All-Skyline Conference.  This is his second straight season being recognized by the league's 12 head coaches with a Second Team All-Skyline selection.  He becomes the first Privateer to earn multiple all-conference honors since Justin Forrest earned three straight nods from 2017-19.

Blanco led Maritime and tied for fifth in the Skyline with 10 goals this season.  He scored in four straight games from Oct. 6-16 and was chosen as the Skyline Player of the Week on Oct. 12 after notching five of the Privateers' six tallies in games against Yeshiva and Old Westbury.  In addition, Blanco converted all four of his penalty kick attempts and was credited with three game-winners.  He added one assist to finish with 21 total points, the most by a Maritime player since 2018 (Parker Gallt, 28).

The Privateers posted a 4-8-4 overall record in 2026, including a 3-4-4 mark in Skyline play.  Maritime just missed qualifying for the six-team Skyline Tournament, placing seventh overall.
