        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Sept. 18, 2013) – The Maritime men's soccer team will play host to Lehman College on Wednesday night, Sept. 18, in the opening game of a soccer doubleheader at Reinhart Field. Kickoff against the Lightning is scheduled for 5 p.m., while the women's soccer team will follow soon after the final whistle at 7 p.m. against Briarcliffe.
 
Inside The Series With Lehman
        The Privateers have played Lehman each of the past four seasons and own the series advantage, 4-0, in that time. The teams last met in the 2012 season-opener on August 30 at Lehman. Maritime came out with a 3-0 victory, as the Privateers had three different goal scorers, senior Chris Anderson (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport-South Manor) (unassisted), sophomore Logan Becker (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) (from then-junior Dave Sparozic (Carmel, N.Y./Mahopac) (Carmel, N.Y./Mahopac)) and freshman Matthew Gisolfi (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) (from senior Derek Nehring (Massapequa, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran)). In goal, senior Michael Vanadia (Commack, N.Y./Commack) earned the shutout, making three saves on the night.
