THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (April 17, 2013) – The Maritime women's lacrosse team faces Mount St. Vincent Wednesday night on Reinhart Field. The Privateers are 2-10 on the season (1-7 Skyline) and the Dolphins are 5-8 (3-5 Skyline). The game is scheduled to start at 9 p.m.
 
Lavelle Earns Skyline Weekly Honor Roll Recognition
            Freshman Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) earns her fourth appearance on the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll. This comes after her efforts in both Privateer games last week. In the two games she scored five goals and contributed six points as well as winning five draw controls and causing four turnovers. Lavelle is currently second in the conference in caused turnovers per game averaging 2.5.
 
Inside The Series With Mount St. Vincent
            This marks the seventh meeting between the two squads since the Privateers joined the Skyline conference in 2007. The Dolphins lead the series 6-0.           
 
Last Time These Two Teams Met
            The Privateers fell to the Dolphins at home on April 12, 2012 with a final score of 16-9.  Maritime was lead by then seniors Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) and Kristen Saporito (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) who both recorded hat tricks. Brady matched the game-high with eight draw controls, while Saporito had four groundballs. In net for Maritime, senior Laura Palino (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) made 12 saves.
