        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (April 12, 2013) – The Maritime women's lacrosse team (2-9, 1-6 Skyline) will play host to the Kean Cougars (9-4, 5-3 Skyline) in the second game of the lacrosse doubleheader at Reinhart Field on Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m., but will be contingent upon the end of the men's game beforehand.

        The series started in 2008, when the Privateers joined the Skyline Conference. Since then, the teams have met five times and the Cougars hold a 5-0 series lead.
 
Last Time The Two Teams Met
        The date was March 31, 2012, and Maritime travelled to Union, N.J. to take on Kean in a doubleheader with the men's squad. The Privateers lost by the score of 18-2. Senior Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) and sophomore Megan White (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) tallied the goals for the squad, while freshman Tessa Jardine (Valley Stream, N.Y./Waterford) had an assist and matched the team-high with three groundballs with then-junior Victoria DeLouise (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side ) (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side). Senior Kristen Saporito (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) led the team with five draw controls and classmate Laura Palino (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) made a game-high seven saves.
