THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 22, 2013) – The Maritime women's lacrosse team (1-4, 0-2 Skyline) will be hosting Farmingdale State College (4-2, 2-0 Skyline) on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Reinhart Field.

Prior to the game, there will be a moment of silence to remember
Kristina Quigley, the Seton Hill University women's lacrosse head coach who tragically passed away last weekend in a bus accident while travelling with her team to an away contest. The Privateer women's lacrosse team will be wearing Crimson and Gold ribbons on their cleats to honor the Seton Hill team and their coach during this tough time.
Maritime lacrosse is also urging supporters to make a donation to the

Kristen Saporito (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) led Maritime with two goals and picked up four draw controls, while causing a team-high two turnovers. Freshman
Tessa Jardine (Valley Stream, N.Y./Waterford) also had two points for the Privateers with a goal and an assist, while senior
Natalie Jackson (Stockton, Calif./Bear Creek) scored the first goal for Maritime. Saporito and classmate
Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) each picked up a team-high two groundballs apiece. In goal, senior
Laura Palino (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) made 10 saves.
Farmingdale was led by midfielder Christy Thoden, who had a game-high 11 points with six goals and five assists. Nicole Marzocca chipped in with three goals and four assists. Thoden also led all players with nine draw controls, while Marzocca had a game-high four groundballs. Goalie Courtney Cook had two saves to record the win.
