THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 21, 2013) – The Maritime women's lacrosse team (1-3, 0-1 Skyline) will travel Upstate to take on Skyline Conference opponent Sage College (0-4, 0-0 Skyline) on Thursday afternoon. The opening draw between the Privateers and Gators is scheduled for 4 p.m. at RPI's Renwyck Field.

        The two teams have met each of the last four seasons and Maritime has won each of the games.
 
Last Time The Teams Met
        The Privateers hosted Sage on April 18 at Reinhart Field and came out victorious, 18-12. Senior Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) that led the way for Maritime with a team-high seven points (6G, 1A), 11 draw controls and five groundballs, while classmate Kristen Saporito (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) scored five goals and picked up five GBs. In net, senior Laura Palino (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) made 12 saves to record her first collegiate victory.
 
Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) Named To Skyline Weekly Honor Roll
        Maritime freshman Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) earned her second weekly honor of the season on Monday, when Skyline Conference Assistant Commissioner Steve Haug announced that she was placed on the women's lacrosse weekly honor roll. The honor came after her performances in the Privateers' three games last week.
 
        She led the team with ten points on nine goals and one assist and added eight draw controls over the three matchups. Earlier this season, she was named the Skyline Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.
