	        PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (March 17, 2013) – The Maritime women's lacrosse team lost its first game in Skyline Conference action, 17-2, Sunday afternoon at St. Joseph's. The Privateers fall to 1-3 (0-1 Skyline) on the season, while the Golden Eagles improve to 4-2 (2-0 Skyline).
	 
	        Freshman 
Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) scored the first goal for Maritime and it came on a free position shot in the second half with St. Joseph's leading 11-0. Sophomore 
Charlotte Acklin (Lewes, Del./West Broward (Fla.)) (Lewes, Del./West Broward) added the Privateers' second goal late in the second. Lavelle and sophomore 
Sydney Carella (Greenville, N.Y./Greenville) (Greenville, N.Y./Greenville) both had a game-high three groundballs, apiece. In net, freshman 
Meghin Paczkowski (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) made six saves.
	 
	        For the Eagles, Jackie Myers led all players with five points on two goals and three assists. Three players registered three points for SJC: Heather Ferchland (2G, 1A), Danielle Dittmeier (2G, 1A) and Caitlynn Webber (1G, 2A). Webber also picked up a team-high three groundballs, while goalie Erin O'Connor earned the victory playing the first half and making one save. She was replaced by Colleen Fitzsimons in the second half, who also made one save.
	 
	        The Privateers return to action on Thursday, March 21, when they travel up to Troy, N.Y., to take on the Sage Gators in a Skyline contest. First draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. at RPI's Renwyck Field.
