FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (Oct. 9, 2013) – The Maritime men's soccer team lost its Skyline matchup against Farmingdale St. Wednesday at Rams Field, 5-0. The loss drops the Privateers to 4-6-2 (1-2-1 Skyline) on the season, while the Rams improve to 6-6 (2-2 Skyline).

      Farmingdale senior Renato Ipince got the scoring started in the 13th minute and classmate Tyler Rollman doubled the lead just six minutes later. Both goals were assisted by Rams' sophomore J.T. Famularo. The advantage was extended to 3-0 in the 27th minute when freshman Andrew Ingargiola found the back of the net off assists by Famularo and sophomore Victor Romero. The home squad would add one more tally before the halftime whistle, this coming off the foot of Romero.

      Maritime was outshot 7-3 in the first half of the game and the Privateers had just two shots on goal, by freshman
Renato Chira-Farfan (Miraflores, Peru/Mahopac (N.Y.)) (Miraflores, Peru/Mahopac) and junior
David Hraska Jr. (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford) (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford), but they were saved by Farmingdale senior keeper Angelo Viteritti. Sophomore
Karl Weber (Northport, N.Y./Northport) (Northport, N.Y./Northport) made one save between the posts for Maritime.

      In the second half, Maritime turned to junior keeper
Patrick Kelleher (Floral Park, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) (Floral Park, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy), but the Rams struck for the final time in the 57th minute, when sophomore Diego Sarmiento scored on a header off a cross by sophomore Michael Vultaggio. Kelleher ended the night with one save and the Privateers were outshot by a total of 18-5 on the night.

      The Privateers return to the pitch on Saturday, when they host Skyline opponent Sage. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
