THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 26, 2013) – The Maritime men's soccer team will play two road games this weekend, taking on Skyline opponent NYU-Poly in Brooklyn on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Aviator Sports Complex, before heading up to New London, Conn., to take on the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on Sunday at 1 p.m.

        The Privateers have played the Jays each of the past six seasons, including twice in the 2009 season. The series is even at 2-2-3. Maritime won the last matchup on Oct. 6 at Reinhart Field by the score of 2-0. Sophomore Logan Becker (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) and then-sophomore Matt Ciruzzi (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) scored for the Privateers and then-freshman Karl Weber (Northport, N.Y./Northport) (Northport, N.Y./Northport) made eight saves for the shutout.

        Coast Guard has won each of the past ten meetings over the Privateers dating back to the 2003 season. Last year, the Privateers lost at home to the Bears, 3-0.
