	        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (April 19, 2012) – The Maritime women's lacrosse team battled Rutgers-Camden hard for nearly 40 minutes, but the Scarlet Raptors pulled away late to capture the 21-13 victory Thursday night at Reinhart Field. The loss dropped the Privateers to 2-9 on the season, while Rutgers-Camden improved to 5-8.
	 
	        Senior 
Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) recorded a hat trick and her third goal of the night marked her 100th career goal. She became the first women's lacrosse player to reach the milestone in program history a night after reaching the 100-point plateau. Brady also led all players with 10 draw controls.
	 
	        Freshman 
Tessa Jardine (Valley Stream, N.Y./Waterford) (Valley Stream, N.Y./Waterford) led Maritime with four goals and two assists, while senior 
Natalie Jackson (Stockton, Calif./Bear Creek) (Stockton, Calif./Bear Creek) also scored four times. Her classmate, 
Kristen Saporito (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) scored the other two goals for the Privateers.
	 
	        Freshman 
Charlotte Acklin (Lewes, Del./West Broward (Fla.)) (Lewes, Del./West Broward) recorded a team-high four groundballs. In goal, senior 
Laura Palino (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) made eight saves.
	 
	        For the Scarlet Raptors, sophomore Samantha Gregg registered a game high eight goals with one assist. Junior Alexa Giampietro had six goals and one assist, while junior goalie Rachel Powell recorded 12 saves for the victory.
	 
	        Maritime returns to action on Saturday afternoon, April 21, when the Privateers host Skyline opponent Montclair State in the 2012 season finale. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
