Baseball Game Day: Privateers Host Non-Conference Opponent City College

        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (April 17, 2012) – The Maritime baseball team will play host to the CUNYAC's City College of New York tonight at Reinhart Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
Bauer Named To Skyline Weekly Honor Roll
        Maritime sophomore shortstop Thomas Bauer (Wantagh, N.Y./MacArthur) was named to the Skyline Conference baseball weekly honor roll, as announced by conference SID Jay Williams on Monday. Bauer led the Privateers in runs batted in with six and runs scored with five in six Skyline games last week. He smashed two home runs in the second game of the doubleheader against NYU-Poly on Saturday. Bauer's .462 batting average ranked second on the team for the week. Inside The Series With City College
        The Privateers took on City College back on March 28 at Randall's Island and rallied back in the ninth inning to claim a 13-11 victory. Sophomore Nick Galli (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph by the Sea) (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph by the Sea) led the way for Maritime with three RBIs, including plating the game-tying run in the ninth on a triple. That win tied the series between the two teams over the past seven seasons at 5-5.
