THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (April 12, 2012) – The Maritime women's lacrosse team lost its Skyline Conference contest to local Bronx rival Mount St. Vincent, 16-9, Thursday night at Reinhart Field. The Privateers drop to 1-7 (0-5 Skyline) on the season, while the Dolphins improve to 4-6 (3-2 Skyline).
 
        Seniors 
Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) and 
Kristen Saporito (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) both recorded hat tricks to lead Maritime. Brady matched the game-high with eight draw controls, while Saporito had four groundballs. Sophomore 
Megan White (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) recorded two goals and senior 
Natalie Jackson (Stockton, Calif./Bear Creek) (Stockton, Calif./Bear Creek) had one goal, which was the Privateers first of the game.
 
        Freshman 
Tessa Jardine (Valley Stream, N.Y./Waterford) (Valley Stream, N.Y./Waterford) chipped in with an assist. In net for Maritime, senior 
Laura Palino (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) made 12 saves.
 
        For the Dolphins, junior Nicole Flores recorded a game-high ten points (6G, 4A), while also bringing in eight draw controls. Junior Michelle Miller made 11 saves to record the victory.
 
        Maritime returns to action on Saturday, when the squad travels up to Newburgh, N.Y., to take on Mount St. Mary. Game time is scheduled for noon at the Blue Knights' Synthetic Turf Field.
