FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (Feb. 15, 2012) – The Maritime men's basketball lost its final road game of the season on Wednesday night to Skyline Conference opponent Farmingdale State, 88-56. The Privateers' record falls to 2-22 (2-15 Skyline) on the season, while the Rams improve to 19-5 (15-2 Skyline).

Mike McSloy (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) recorded a game-high 29 points in the losing effort. It was his seventh-straight 20-plus point performance. Junior
Bill Sherwood (Freehold, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) registered 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
For the Rams, AJ Matthews had a great game, scoring 24 points and bringing down a game-high 22 rebounds. Four other players scored in double-figures for Farmingdale: Josh Smith (13), Dyshaun Flournoy (11), Ryan Davis (11) and Ibrahim Johnson (10). Johnson also racked up nine rebounds, while Ryan Davis led all players with nine assists.
The Privateers will conclude the 2011-12 season this Saturday, Feb. 18, when they play host to Skyline-foe Old Westbury. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium. There will be a Senior Day ceremony before tipoff to honor five players that will be playing in their final game for the Maritime men's basketball program.
