Maritime Announces 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Schedule

2026-27 Schedule

THROGGS NECK, NY –
The Maritime College men's basketball team will play its first four and four of its last five games at home during the 2026-27 season.  Overall, the Privateers have 12 contests at Riesenberg Gymnasium as part of the 25-game slate, which has been released by third-year Head Coach DMarco Barnes.

Maritime begins its season-opening four-game homestand with three games in five days.  The Privateers host Ramapo in the season opener on Nov. 11, then faces Cortland for the first time since 2003 on Nov. 13.  Two days later, Maritime takes on Ithaca and Head Coach Mike McSloy, a former Privateers point guard who still holds the program's single-season scoring record.  The homestand concludes on Nov. 21, when New Paltz visits Riesenberg Gymnasium.

Following that contest, Maritime will play seven straight away from home.  After visiting Rutgers-Newark (Nov. 24) and John Jay (Dec. 9), the Privateers begin their Skyline Conference schedule at Farmingdale on Dec. 12.  Maritime then travels to Montclair State on Dec. 19 before wrapping up 2026 at the NYU Tournament on Dec. 30-31.  The Privateers face the host Violets on the first day of the tournament before facing either Rhode Island College or Gwynedd Mercy.

Each of Maritime's final 15 games are Skyline contests, starting with a matchup at Old Westbury on Jan. 3.  The Privateers return home to face Merchant Marine on Jan. 6 before heading back on the road for meetings with St. Joseph's LI (Jan. 10) and St. Joseph's Brooklyn (Jan. 13).   After hosting Mount St. Mary on Jan. 16, Maritime visits Manhattanville on Jan. 19.  The Privateers wrap up the month of January with home games against Purchase (Jan. 23) and Sarah Lawrence (Jan. 30), as well as a midweek trip to Mount St. Vincent (Jan. 27).

On Feb. 3, Maritime visits defending Skyline champion Yeshiva.  The Privateers then have back-to-back home games against Farmingdale (Feb. 6) and Old Westbury (Feb. 9).  Maritime's final road contest is scheduled for Feb. 13 at Merchant Marine.  The Privateers end the regular season by hosting St. Joseph's LI (Feb. 17) and St. Joseph's Brooklyn (Feb. 20).

This season's Skyline Conference Tournament begins with quarterfinal games on Feb. 23, followed by the semifinals on Feb. 25 and the Championship Game on Feb. 27 or 28.  Maritime has hosted a Skyline quarterfinal in each of the last four seasons.
