Weber Earns Skyline Men’s Soccer Honor Roll Nod; Privateers Fall To Baruch Monday, 3-0

        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 8, 2012) – On Monday, the Skyline Conference announced that Maritime men's soccer freshman goalkeeper Karl Weber (Northport, N.Y./Northport) (Northport, N.Y./Northport) was named to the Skyline men's soccer weekly honor roll. The accolade comes after the Privateers went 2-0 last week with conference victories over Mount St. Vincent (4-1 on the road on Wednesday) and NYU-Poly (2-0 at home on Saturday).
 
        Against the Jays on Saturday night, in his first-ever start, Weber recorded eight saves to earn the shutout and victory, both career firsts. He made four saves in both the first and second halves. For the complete release from the Skyline Conference, click here.
 
        The Privateers were in action Monday afternoon against non-conference opponent Baruch College. The Bearcats came out on top, 3-0, as junior goalkeeper Guy Sharav made three saves to earn a shutout victory. For the Privateers, Weber recorded six saves and was replaced by junior John Dunne (Southold, N.Y./Southold) (Southold, N.Y./Southold) for the final 35 minutes of the game. Dunne made two saves.
 
        Maritime is back in action on Wednesday night, when the Privateers welcome in Skyline opponent Mount St. Mary. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
