Men’s Soccer Game Day: Privateers Host Bloodhounds Monday Night

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Sept. 19, 2011) – The Maritime men's soccer team returns to action tonight, when the squad plays host to John Jay of the CUNY Athletic Conference. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Reinhart Field.

Inside The Series

The two teams have played each other each of the previous three seasons, with John Jay leading the series, 2-1. In 2010, the Bloodhounds took the 3-2 home victory in the 94th minute during the first golden goal overtime. Then-John Jay-freshman Edward Gonzalez scored all three goals for the Bloodhounds. The Privateers won at home in 2009 by the score of 3-0 and in 2008, John Jay won at home, 4-3.
