THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (April 14, 2011) – The Maritime baseball team returns home tonight, when they host St. Joseph's of Brooklyn in a non-conference matchup for the second time this season. The game was originally scheduled for a Wednesday doubleheader, however it was changed to today due to the poor weather conditions in the area yesterday. The game will now be one, single, nine-inning contest starting at 7 p.m. at Reinhart Field.

Inside The Series

In their previous meeting this season, the Privateers swept the doubleheader, 6-1 and 1-0, when the Bears visited Reinhart Field on March 20.

Maritime has previously played St. Joseph's-Brooklyn only one time, when Maritime swept a doubleheader back in 2009, 10-7 and 5-3. The Privateers and Bears where supposed to face each other during the 2010 season however, the first couple of games where postponed due to rain, and when the teams where ready to play at the end of the season the series got canceled again due to rain.
