Diaz's came on one swing, when he hit a homer to right field that gave St. Joe's a 2-1 lead. Cundari smacked an RBI-double into left and scored two batters later when Mendez had a two-RBI double to the wall in left-center that made the score 5-1. St. Joseph's starting pitcher Paul Piccirillo pitched 7.2 innings and allowed eight runs (one earned) on just four hits, striking out four, but struggling with control, as he walked 10 batters. He suffered his fifth loss of the season.
