Mike McSloy (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) was named to the Skyline Conference men's basketball weekly honor roll for his performances in the Privateers' three games last week, as announced by conference SID
Jay Williams on Monday.
McSloy set a new career-high in points twice last week: first against Kings Point in the season-opener on Tuesday when he tallied 24 points and then on Saturday in the consolation game of the Radisson Invitational in Scranton against Centenary when he put up 26 points. The 6-2, 190-pound guard was the game's leading scorer in all three contests, averaging 23.0 points on the week, while adding a team-high 10 assists.

The Maritime men's basketball team will return to action tonight, when the squad travels down to Brooklyn for the Skyline-opener against NYU-Poly. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Blue Jays' Jacobs Gymnasium.
Inside The Series With NYU-Poly
Since the Blue Jays joined the Skyline Conference in the 2007-08 season, the two teams have met eight times in the past four seasons. The Privateers own a 7-1 record over their in-city rivals, including two wins last season. On Jan. 20, 2011, Maritime won at home, 73-55, while earlier in the season on Dec. 2, 2010, the Privateers won on the road, 84-68.
