Men’s Soccer And Volleyball Both Play At Home Tonight

        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 12, 2011) – The Maritime men's soccer and volleyball teams both have home contests Wednesday night on campus. The volleyball team will be hosting Skyline Conference opponent Purchase College in the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium at 7 p.m., while the men's soccer team welcomes in Skyline-foe Sage in an important game for positioning in the conference down the stretch of the last few weeks of the regular season. That game is also set for a 7 p.m. start at Reinhart Field.
 
Inside Men's Soccer's Series With Sage

        This will be just the second meeting between the Privateers and the Gators, as Sage just started its men's soccer program for the 2010 season. During last year's meeting, Maritime was victorious, 4-3, up in Troy, N.Y. Then-junior David Kittinger (Fort Myers, Fla./South Fort Myers (Fla.)) (Fort Myers, Fla./South Fort Myers) scored the game-winning goal with just 3:29 left on the clock.

Inside The Volleyball Series With Purchase

        The two teams have met once each season over the past five years and the Panthers hold a 4-1 lead in that time. Purchase won the meeting in 2010 in straight sets by the scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-9.
