Men’s Soccer Game Day: Privateers Host St. Joseph’s After Football Game

        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 1, 2011) – The Maritime men's soccer team will play host to Skyline Conference opponent St. Joseph's College of Long Island on Saturday afternoon at Reinhart Field. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m. after the conclusion of the Maritime home football game.
 
Inside The Series
        The Privateers have only defeated St. Joseph's once in the past five years and that came last season out on Long Island.  Then-sophomore Michael Vanadia (Commack, N.Y./Commack) (Commack, N.Y./Commack) made 11 saves for the victory, as Maritime got goals from then-juniors Jack Blunden (Arlington, Va./Washington) (Arlington, Va./Washington), Jason Tursi (Farmingdale, N.Y./Plainedge) (Farmingdale, N.Y./Plainedge) and David Kittinger (Fort Myers, Fla./South Fort Myers (Fla.)) (Fort Myers, Fla./South Fort Myers). Eagles freshman Terrence Dzus opened the scoring in the 17th minute and senior goalie Peter Ryan made three saves in the losing effort.
