THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Jan. 29, 2011) – The Maritime men's basketball team will look to win its fourth-straight game for the first time this season when they visit the Purchase Panthers on Saturday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Panther Pavilion.

Inside The Series

This will be the second time that these two teams meet this season. Back on Dec. 4, 2010 Purchase defeated Maritime, 90-72, at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium. During the 2009-10 season the Panthers won both games, the first 85-72 on Jan. 9, 2010, at the Panther Pavilion. Meanwhile, at Throggs Neck, they needed two overtimes to defeat the Privateers, 72-68, on Feb. 13, 2010. Maritime will be looking to defeat Purchase for the first time since the 2008-09 season, when they swept the series against the Panthers, 90-88, on Feb. 5, 2009 at home and 81-76 in overtime on Jan. 19, 2009 at Purchase.
